Three guests from Tongji University, President Prof. Gang PEI, School of Life Sciences and Technology, Prof. Yu HUANG, College of Civil Engineering, and Ms. Xiaojie HUANG,  International Exchange and Cooperation Office were welcomed by Faculty, Graduate School and School of Engineering on Friday, December 4th. Winter Event Invitation for Asian Students 2015

NPO法人 アジアの留学生等を応援する会 (NPO the Supporter for International Students from Asian Countries) has arranged another event for Asian students studying at universities in Sapporo to enjoy winter activities in Hokkaido at Napal Fukagawa, Hokkaido Youth Outdoor Learning Center. This NPO was organized to let Asian students in Sapporo to get out from the campus and visit regional Hokkaido together with local Japanese people, and funded by Nitori Hokkaido Aid Fund. This one day event will be held on Sun. Dec.13, 2015, and for attendance, 1,000 JPY fee will be needed. They particularly seek for the university students from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia. Lifesaving Training Course (CPR & AED)

The games such as Hagoita and Fukuwarai are the typical ones to play during New Year’s holiday. The Welcome Reception for Newly-enrolled Int’l Students

Welcome Reception for Newly-enrolled International Students was held on Friday, November 6th. This 1.5 hour-party welcomed nearly 170 participants this year from the three different engineering-related faculties: Engineering, Chemical Sciences & Engineering and Information Science & Technology.  Not only the international students, their tutors and supervisors also participated in this party. After a welcome address and toast by Dean Nawa, participants enjoyed a variety of foods, actively introduced themselves and made new friends.  The highlight of the party was the bingo game! GiFT2015 is an online forum for world students, standing for Global Issues Forum for Tomorrow. The event distributes 1.5 hours live broadcast on YouTube Live from 8 p.m. on November 8, 2015. This year’s topic is “How can we deal with sharp global environmental changes?” GiFT marks the fifth anniversary this year.
