NPO法人 アジアの留学生等を応援する会 (NPO the Supporter for International Students from Asian Countries) has arranged another event for Asian students studying at universities in Sapporo to enjoy fall colors in Lake Toya. Volcanic remains of Mt. Usu and Volcano Science Museum are also included as the destinations of this one day trip. The event will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2016, and for attendance, 2,000 JPY fee will be needed. Elementary School and Factories Visit Event

Dean/Professor Suk LEE and Assoc. Professor Yujin NAM from College of Engineering, Pusan National University, South Korea were welcomed by Faculty of Engineering. They visited our campus to hold Academic Exchange Signing ceremony on Thursday, August 4th, 2016. From Faculty of Engineering, Dean Toyoharu NAWA and Prof. Masanori IIBA, Prof. NAGANO, and  Assist. Faculty of Engineering welcomed visitors from Kasetsart University, Thailand on July 25th, 2016. Dean Toyoharu NAWA and Prof. Tamon UEDA (Div. of Engineering and Policy for Sustainable Environment) from Faculty of Engineering greeted the delegation giving a short presentation of Hokkaido University and Faculty of Engineering. As more specific information for the delegation,  Assoc. The 14th Symposium between USTB & HU

The 14th Symposium between USTB & HU was held on March 7th and 8th at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. Including the Vice President Terao, from Faculty of Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, and Graduate School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering, 23 faculty members and students in total participated in this event. The joint symposium started on March 7th following the opening ceremony. Poster sessions were held by the  students next day, on March 8th. The Best Presenter Award was given to the 2 students from each university.

Professor Il Won Seo from Seoul National University  was welcomed by Faculty, Graduate School and School of Engineering on Monday, February 22nd. Dean Toyoharu NAWA  and Ms Natalya SHMAKOVA, e3 program coordinator introduced Faculty of Engineering and e3 program. Prof. Yasuyuki SHIMIZU from  Division of Field Engineering for the Environment joined the meeting. In a wide ranging conversation, we talked about the education system conducted in English etc.  We hope this meeting will bring closer cooperation between our institutions.
