The Welcome Reception for Newly-enrolled Int’l Students 2018

International Affairs Office of Engineering threw a reception party on Friday, November 9 for the new international students. Around 100 students from the three different engineering-related faculties (Faculty, Graduate School and School of Engineering/ Chemical Sciences & Engineering/ Information Science & Technology) participated and enjoyed the varieties of foods including sushi and halal dish. Their supervisors and some Deans also participated in this party. Not only savory dishes, participants enjoyed Karaoke. Our annual event “Bingo game” made the students even more excited. First three participants who won the game were given special prizes(Ceramic fan heater, Movie tickets, and Hokudai tumbler) and first other 40 students also received small prizes. We … Continued

International Affairs Office of Engineering threw a reception party on Friday, November 10 for the new international students. 125 students from the three different engineering-related faculties (Faculty, Graduate School and School of Engineering/ Chemical Sciences & Engineering/ Information Science & Technology) participated and enjoyed the varieties of foods including sushi and halal dish. A Visit from Korea

Assoc.Dean Prof. Jaewon Chung and 9 administrative staff from the College of Engineering, Korea University visited the Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University on Friday June 23. Prof. Yukinori Kobayashi (Dean of the  Graduate School of Engineering) welcomed the delegation. After the courtesy visit, the group went to a campus tour with two Korean students who currently studying in Graduate School of Engineering, Jihee Kim (Master’s course student) and Yongho Chung (Doctoral course Student).

The delegation members from the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University were welcomed by the Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University on Thursday June 15.  Asso. Prof. Prapat Wangskarn (Dean of Faculty of Engineering),  Asso.Prof. Chainarong Chaktranond (Assistant to the Rector), Asst.Prof. Monchai Pruekwilailert (Deputy Dean of Faculty of Engineering), and Ms. Jantima Thongpiam, Secretary of Twining Engineering Program visited our campus to discuss future collaboration specially in the filed of mechanical engineering. Prof. Yukinori Kobayashi (Dean of Graduate School of Engineering), Prof. Norihiro Izumi (Director of International Exchange Office), Prof. Nobuyuki Oshima and Prof. Masao Watanabe joined the discussion.
