Environmental System Research Laboratory carries out research concerning “the solution for the urban energy consumption and the human environmental problems” for the purpose of the creation of the healthy and sustainable human environment.
Our researches are mainly about the various applications of the natural energy such as the snow/ice natural cold energy, the underground thermal energy and so on, the high efficiency combined energy systems, the technology which contributes to the reduction of the environmental load, and the evaluation and the improvement of the working environment.

Division of Human Environmental Systems:
Environmental System Research Laboratory belongs to the Division of Human Environmental Systems. It pursuits the engineering solution to create comfortable environment for human lives, ensuring a safe environment which concerns human existence by the comprehensive studies of the characteristics of human beings, nature, shelter (buildings) and energy (systems). The aim of the Division is to realize the desirable human environment by combining buildings with the energy systems, considering the safe and healthy environmental conditions from the point of view of the human physiology and psychology.
